In this class you will learn some techniques that you can use to turn a conversation to spiritual things.  Jesus used good questions and identified needs that He saw in people.  You will be trained in some of these techniques.  You will learn how to take your own brokenness and turn it into an opportunity to share your hope in Christ.  You will then learn how to move that conversation into a clear presentation of the Gospel with an opportunity to respond with this message of hope. 

• Fulfills Ordination/Consecration Evangelism Training requirement but training is open to everyone.

• Training to be held at Tallmadge Alliance Church (1155 East Ave, Tallmadge, OH).

Cost is $10 for training and workbook

Lunch is on your own from 12:00 pm to 1 pm

Rev. Rick Toburen will be the presenter for this workshop.  Rick came to Christ while a student at Purdue University through Cru.  He was on their staff for six years and then the Associate Pastor at Chapel Hill Church (CMA) in Cuyahoga Falls for seven years.  He was then a bi-vocational pastor for 30 years while he taught Chemistry at Solon High School.  Rick retired in 2013 and began working more full-time with the Central District as the Coordinator for Ordination/Consecration and the Lead program.  He loves to equip men and women to be more effective in utilizing their gifts and abilities to serve the Lord in His Kingdom.  He saw a tremendous need in the church for equipping in evangelism and has used his background with Cru, the CMA and the educational workplace to develop a workshop that is highly interactive and practical.
