Update On Project Reimagine

Read below a brief update from the National Office about Project Reimagine.

"Hi, friends! It’s been a little while since you’ve heard from us, and we wanted to give you a brief update and invite you to pray.

For the past five months, we have been prayerful as we’ve tracked inflationary realities in the U.S., the impact of companies like Intel moving to Columbus—the price of cement more than doubling as a result—the pace of our own fundraising, and the scope of our initial building design. The Board met in October and again in February to pray into what all of this means and what we’re learning.

Affirming the original vision, in February, the Board prayerfully decided to authorize a redesign process of the One Alliance Place building and the master site plan. The core mission and outcomes of this project remain intact—missional engagement with the community, income generation, and greater access to the Alliance family. To continue our best stewardship of Alliance resources, a reexamination and change in the size and scope of the One Alliance Place building is prudent.

In other words, we’re asking the question, “Can we accomplish the same vision with a smaller building and less money?” We believe that the answer is yes, and we’re taking the next month to explore this option.

Would you pray with us over these next weeks for wisdom and discernment of God’s ongoing direction for the project and clarity around building design?

Thank you so much for your continued encouragement and partnership!"
