Holidays

'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.'

Luke 2:10-11

We pray that this Christmas season would be a restful and joyous time spent with your loved ones, celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

In observance of the holidays, the Central District Office will be closed December 23rd-January 2nd. There will be no Connection newsletter sent out during this time. Regular Office hours will resume Monday, January 6th.

Our regular Office hours are: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm.

Rekindle Retreat

Rekindle is a Retreat designed for
Central District licensed workers and their spouses.

Come and enjoy marriage enrichment, rest, relaxation, connection with our district family, worship and opportunities for prayer.

Our Speakers this year are Sam & Michelle Park.
(See below a bio from the Parks.)

"Rev. Dr. Sam Park is ordained with the Christian & Missionary Alliance and serves at Queens Herald Church as the English Ministry Pastor of a multi-generational Chinese-American congregation in the Metropolitan District. He also works closely with ministry leaders as a "soul/spiritual coach." Anyone that knows Sam knows that he is a passionate man and he's most passionate about the 3 F's in his life: Faith, Family & Fishin'! Michelle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and sees individuals, couples and families through her practice, ReEnvision Marriage and Family Therapy. Michelle is also one of the professors for Empower, a worldwide women's leadership development program that was birthed in the Metro District of the C&MA. Michelle loves books (she appreciates a good book recommendation!), good food & going on new adventures. Sam and Michelle have two beautiful daughters, Sophia & Emma Jay and an adopted dog named Lady Paisley. Sam is officially a DoDo - Dad of Daughters only. Together, you can affectionately call them the M.E.S.S.y P. family."

Bylaws Workshop

Much has changed culturally and denominationally in the past several years. Are your church’s policies and bylaws up-to-date?

If your current church's bylaws are over eight years old, we recommend a review take place. There are some helpful bylaws that you are strongly encouraged to consider that keep us more fully aligned with The Alliance.

Plan to send 2-3 people from your church to the Bylaws Workshop to begin that review process.

(There is no registration fee.)

Please contact Taylor Callahan ([email protected]) with any questions you may have.
